Feels Like Christmas

my plan was to have both trees up, and a small tinsel tree up in quincy's room, before we left to idaho for thanksgiving. like most things in my life these days, my decorating before we left didn't quite go according to plan. now, a week later, i have most of it done....still need to iron stockings, get a tree topper for the entry way tree (any ideas of where to find a great one? i have looked, and can't find anything worth buying.), buy peppermint candy for the downstairs candy jar, have a second picture with santa taken for the frame on the console table (the first is dark and not good of either of them...i'm thinking highschol boys shouldn't be hired for the photographer job.),  fix the "y" on the stacy package downstairs (i realized when i uploaded these it had fallen down! :) ), decorate quincy's tree....okay so maybe i am posting pictures prematurely.
if you know me well, you know one of my favorite parts of christmas is wrapping the gifts! i love having them under my tree early, it completes the look for me. i realized when i was putting them out that this may be the last year i can put all our gifts out before christmas...as my kids get older i will have to hold some back for santa to bring!

west loves the tree downstairs. :)

(he'll be 8 weeks on tuesday)

TWO trees! That's awesome! I can't believe Q leaves the presents and ornaments alone. Addie gets into everything so we have ZERO gifts under the tree! She has also taken off most of the ornaments and put them back on in various places... sometimes in the couch cushions! I found a star for our tree at Target one year. I like it, but it doesn't have lights on it or anything fancy. It's like a barn star.

ok, so much to say. first, i could just snuggle tiny west to death. second, your house puts my sad house to shame... WOW. third, how in the WORLD do you have such beautiful ornaments, decorations, and wrapped presents and Quincy NOT break, destroy, or rip them all??? I have a stack of ornaments that Boss has broken already. the tree is already looking bare and i haven't even bothered to try wrapping the gifts... either way, im impressed with you and embarrassed for myself : )

Your decorations are gorgeous and I really like the trees this year. I do not know how you get it all done...oh, now I remember....best baby EVER...so sweet and good AND you do not sleep until the task is done! NOW get some SLEEP and remember to take time to eat. Love you, Mom.
