okay, so craft hope posted project 4...if you have no idea what that means, then read this post of mine from a few days ago.
so, what's the project? SOCK MONKEYS! i am so excited because i've been wanting to learn how to make these. i'm planning to make a few for craft hope and then an extra couple for quince and gifts. we'll see how many i can get done.
crafthope.com exlpains the project:
"The next Craft Hope project is one that will take place right here in the United States and holds a dear place in my heart. It will benefit the smallest of burn victims through the Firefighters Burn Institute in Sacramento, California. Not only do we live in the area, my husband is a firefighter and is very excited about this next project, too. September 25-27, the institute is holding a camp for the kids and their families called Little Heroes Preschool Burn Camp."
the deadline for the sock monleys is september 18th. so you have some time if you are wanting to participate. i signed up and have the address that the monkeys need to be sent to. if you want the address, leave a comment or email me and i'll send it to you.
service always makes you feel good, and i especially love when it helps children. i know so many of you are talented and creative enough to do some super cute monkeys for these kids. so be on the look out for some cute socks and get going on those monkeys!! :)
the web-goddess sock monkey tutorial seems to be the most popular on the blogs i've looked at in searching out how to make these. let me know if you find a better/easier/cuter one.
