have you seen this site? it's called craft hope. a lady named jade, who is a saint in my book, organizes projects. she posts these projects on this site and invites you to help out. each project is sending handmade items to children in need. they have done 3 projects so far. blankets, hats, pillowcases, booties, and more (over 2,000 items) for 3 villages in India. dresses and shirts for little girls in mexico. and handmade cloth dolls to an orphanage in nicaragua. jade posts the projects and all you have to do is make the item, and send it to her. she makes posts on the craft hope site showing you what she has recieved, how many, and also shows pictures of the children who receive these gifts. jade will be posting project 4 sometime in the next week or so. i have way too many crafty friends and family for us not to all be involved! check out the craft hope site and i will be reminding you about it when she she posts what the project is. p.s. great idea for family night, young women's or activity day girls, or relief society....in case you have to come up with something.
