quincy and i went to the smithsonian museum of natural history this morning in DC. we were invited by our new friends rose and grace. we had a great time! i wondered if quince would be that into it (especially since we skipped out on her morning nap to go), but she loved it.
walking to the museum. saturday, and a holiday weekend, DC was hoppin'! it took us a while to find a parking spot, but we ended up just a few blocks away.
when we first walked in and saw the giant elephant she yelled, "WHOA!". she and the other kids (grace and rose's sister's little boy) loved all the animals.

this was one of our favorites. the aquarium. all the kids around were saying "nemo!"
there were a few "nemos" in the tank.
you can't really tell, but Q is doing her fish-face. i think she and grace
could have looked at the fish all day.
i can't remember what was in these bubble windows...they looked like small jellyfish/spiders. creepy!!
the atrium hall. i love how it looks like she is reading about the birds...
and a hotdog and soda pitstop outside the museum on our way to the car.

Oh ...so FUN! How great to take advantage of the wonders that DC has to offer. Q is so excited to see and learn about new things right now...such a good time with new friends! I want to see you in the next post WITH Q!!!!! :) (miss you!)

Jill-What a fun experience for all of you. I can just hear Quincy yelling Whoa! at the elephant. There are a LOT of Smithsonian museums. The Space museum is really neat. We loved it that you already have friends there to do things with. We love all of you!
