mom and i went to material girls (link to the owner's blog) the other day. they have the greatest selection of fabrics. i didn't buy any though. not even a fat quarter! which is so unlike me. i did however come home w/ a pattern! yes, i am going to attempt to follow a pattern. this is what i picked up:

i am going to attempt to make the 14" round "zinnia pillow" for quincy's next bedroom. no, she is not moving into a new room. yet. but i have her bed already. and her quilt ready to sew. so why not start on the pillows? it takes me about a year to finish a project these days. :)
it will be done in one of these fabrics to match the quilt.
and yes, i am embarrassed that i STILL have not finished this quilt that was supposed to be for quincy for christmas. (i posted this picture last august...see, about a year.) i am saving it for her big girl room now. just buying myself some time.
