a few months ago my friend katie and i were talking about getting tickets to see britney spears when she came to salt lake. a week or so later we got a flyer in the mail from the MGM in las vegas that britney was having a concert there. MGM is our usual hotel of choice so i was pumped! we got tickets and katie and i have been excited about it since. the concert was last saturday. shalyse and jodi came with us. (and sean came too, not to the concert just to vegas. we were all glad to have him along! :) ).
we got there saturday afternoon and made a quick trip to fashion show mall. then went to dinner at fiamma, an italian restaurant, before the concert. amazing food! we had a jerky waiter. we are convinced it was because we didn't order a bunch of alcohol. we had great tickets for the concert and got to stand up close and personal. britney's tour had a circus theme. there were acrobats and talented people of all sorts in the show. her dancers were incredible! the show, as expected, was a little scandalous and she lip sank the entire time. BUT it was a GREAT show. i am always amazed at the planning and rehearsals and work that goes into putting on these productions. we had a blast and sang and danced our little hearts out!
the whole time we were hoping madona would show up (long story...). she didn't. but there was another celebrity sighting. the hilton sisters were there with their latest boyfriends. shalyce took a million pictures of them w/ my camera. i think it was one of the best moments of shalyce's life. :)
i forgot to mention how sweet our room was! i wish we could have spent more time in it! we somehow got lucky and got a newly remodeled one. we had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (with amazing showers!) 6 tv's (sean was in heaven! ;) ), and even a pool table.
