"Punt-tins!"

that's how quincy says it. and because they are everywhere right now, we hear "PUNT-TIN!" a lot. :) i have been meaning to pick some up. for sure this week! i love carving pumpkins. i'm not really good at it, i just have always liked it. the last few years we have carved pumpkins with sean's family the week of halloween. but before the carving takes place and they rot away or get eaten by the latest animal in our yard, i like to have them looking cute and adorn my porch for a while! last year i spray painted our pumpkins black. they looked great! loved how shiny they were. but when we carved them, the paint chipped away. i am wanting to paint them again. not spray paint, just regular...craft(what's it called?) paint. i would love to be able to carve out the painted design. any ideas of how to make it so the paint wont chip off the slippery pumpkin shell? i saw these painted pumpkins on party dress and tip junkie. they are my inspiration this year. and how cute are these mini's with ribbon, and white with black ric rac!?! my cousin jenn did the white with black ric rac and they looked fab in her house! the glitter is always a fave of mine too...but i have strong feelings about not doing glitter crafts in my house. i know it sounds crazy, but i'm dead serious. it somehow gets EVERYWHERE. too big of a mess for me to handle. i am, however, planning on glitzing up some candles soon for a halloween dinner party. unless i can talk myself out of it or come up with an alternative just as good. i'll for sure be doing the glittering out in a corner back yard or something! :) how will you be bedazzling your pumpkins this year???
