The Past Few Days

our days and nights are a blur around here. i was feeling last night like the last few weeks have flown by and i haven't gotten anything done and we haven't done anything fun. i was just uploading pictures from my cameras and realized that we do have a life worth mentioning. on saturday quinn and i went to get some pumpkins. (finally.) i usually get a bunch pretty early and i paint them. then we carve them the week of halloween. well, things are a little crazier this year with a new baby so we just got a few to paint and one for Q to color to put out by our door. they will have to do. i painted mine silver and light gray. and even glittered a stripe on one. (i remembered why i HATE glitter projects. i got it everywhere.) they are a little cuter in person than they look in this picture, but not much. sundays have changed for us. sean and i switch off taking quincy to sacrament meeting. then we come home. i am WAY too paranoid about how much sickness has been going around to send quince to nursery and there is no way we are taking west to church for a while. i talked to our primary president on the phone yesterday and she said only a third of the primary kids were at church on sunday. a lot of people are sick. so we are trying to stay home and keep well. sean snapped this of me and the babes sunday afternoon. monday evening we had our ward trunk or treat. because it was outside, we decided to stop by for a little bit. quincy was in her costume and i got a few pictures...but i am saving that debut for halloween night pictures. i bundled west like you wouldn't believe and put him in the sling, or "mommy's pocket" as quincy calls it, and off we went! for about 15 minutes. quincy got freaked out by brother reeves's sumo wrestler costume. i think it was the hair, not sure. she was beside herself bawling! so we left. our sweet neighbor liz got west this hat for halloween. west is 2 weeks old as of yesterday. he has already grown and changed. the poor boy had his 2 week check up yesterday morning and had to have his 2nd PKU blood test taken and he also had to be circumcised. it was traumatic, for me. i felt so bad for him all day. he's doing pretty good though i think. i took this picture with my phone last night in bed after his 12:00 feeding. he is such a sweet baby. this little ball of craziness is 19 months old today. she has been being SO funny lately and also making us nuts. :) she went for a walk yesterday with sean even though it was so cold! luckily she likes having her hands in her coat pockets! this is the face we get when we say, "smile big" or "smile pretty". quincy is so fun and sweet and smart. she is learning her ABCs right now. this isn't the best video, i'l try to get a better one soon. i was sitting in the chair below her and when i would to help she'd say, "quincy sing" or "no no no!". when quincy is performing, no one else can! :)

Stacy you little family is so perfect. Everytime I have thought of you I cant help but smile. I know this is an adjustment time for all of you, especially since you had such little time to prepare, but I know how it is with 2 kids 19 months apart and it isnt easy but so so worth it down the road to have them close together they will be BFF's! I cant wait to meet West! Can we visit soon, (without kids and healthy with clean hands?)

Ha ha that is the cutest video I think I've ever seen! I'm still waiting for you to call me to take Quincy one day to play. :) Oh and cute pumpkins!

so much to say... first, your pumpkins look awesome. 2nd, we are skipping nursery for a few weeks too, at least til Boss can get the vaccine for h1n1. 3rd, can't wait to see q in her costume, 4th CANT believe that she sings her ABCs! What a smarty pants. Boss barely says 1,2,3. And they all sound like 2. Oh, and lastly, I love that Quincy is always holding West. Boston still won't hold Naomi. I have hardly any pictures of them together because he WONT hold her!

I love it! The pumpkins are really neat that you painted, would never have thought to do that myself, mine are always just carved and then cut up to make real pumpkin pie!

Love also that Quincy is signing "Sing" while she was saying it at the end of her ABC's. Do you sign with her?

Good luck with having two kids so close together! What a precious family.

P.S. I found your blog by clicking on a link from Kim Middleton's blog.

The video isn't up so I can't see it, BUT I can NOT believe she is learning her ABC's!! My boy isn't even close and and he's like a year older?! Oh my.....Either she's smart or Link is going to be in resource?! You are all so adorable and I'm so happy for you! The way Lincoln acted out when Elsie came home was to whine. IT's so hard, but she will snap out of it quickly! Lincoln was always sweet too & he still think he's sweet, but we have to watch closely! Soon Quincy will want to feed him her food ;)....Congrats again he's a doll!
