Baby Ambien

Q needs some ambien. she is having some sleeping issues. we haven't seen sleeping behavior this bad or this consistent since....well, maybe ever. she has always been a great sleeper. we could put her in her crib and she would just go to sleep. now it's a fight to get in bed and lay down and she wakes up multiple times in the night. she wants to be rocked, held, or come in our bed. out of NO WHERE. we have tried to be tough though and have not given in. she has cried herself to sleep more than once in the past few days. even for naps. i'm SO tired. today i put her down about an hour passed when she usually goes down, hoping she would be so tired that she would go right to sleep. she put up a little bit of a fight, but shortly went to sleep. for being such a little nightmare lately (i didn't even mention the sudden outbursts of frustration, yelling "no!", and an occasional hit) we still love her to pieces. this is how she fell asleep after her little fit at nap time today... :)

I'm so sorry Stace. It's hard to function when you are so tired. Hang in there....you're doing the right thing...it feels like forever but it will pass!

I'm so sorry Stace. Sleeping issues are the worst. Blake just gave us about 2 weeks of one. Then one day he just decided to return to normal.

I hope you get sleep soon!

oh I am sorry. nothing is so frustrating as a non sleeping child. bring her to my house to swim... that'll wear her out.

this is just a stage and it will pass because she has always been so good about sleeping. It could possibly be the moves from Utah to Virginia and back to Utah or maybe not!! Who knows with little kids.

The twins were doing that for a while, and we were also refusing to get them out of bed, but we were exhausted from waking up so many time during the night. Our lifesaver... a fan! If we ran a fan in our room, we couldn't hear the night time wakings, and I didn't have to lay there in bed fuming about them not sleeping! It works great. And everyone else is right, the cycle will return to normal sooner or later- good luck waiting it out!

Blakely did the same thing when we got back to UT. It took a week to adjust, but seriously you need to get some black out shutters so it's pitch black! They will save your life!!!

I think every kid goes through phases like this. Hopefully it won't last too long and she will be back to her old sleeping self again soon. Jackson would go through phases like this and I would usually figure out later it was because he was getting 3 new teeth I didn't know about, or something crazy like that. I saw Hillary Collette last sat and even though she only hung out with u like 3 times in Virginia, she had only nice things to say about you and Quincy. We should all hang out sometime.

Have you read the "Baby whisperer"? It seriously has all these solutions to sleeping issues. If you stick to it though, she'll grow out of it. Don't give in. You think it will last forever and then one day she'll just figure out that your the boss not her. Good Luck:)
