    never before has my blog been so dramatic! just a few hours ago we got some bad news. i got a call from deb, the agency owner. she said that christina called her and said that she is giving the baby to the birthfather.
    let me give you some background. i have asked about the birthfather 2 times. once when we first got a call from becki (christina's case worker) that christina wanted to talk with me on the phone. becki said that he is the father of her 3 children that she has now. he has never supported them or her in any way. christina's words were that he is "very inconsiderate of me and our children" and that he barely sees them. christina and the father have never been married or lived together. we were emailed her medical and social history. on the father questions she put that he did not know about the pregnancy (this was 2 months ago) but that she thought he would sign papers. the second time i asked more questions about the father was yesterday. i called tara (yet another MG adoption agency worker. she is the birth mother coordinator) and asked her to find out if the birthfather had been notified of the pregnancy yet or if the attorney had papers drawn up for him to sign already. tara said as far as they knew, christina hadn't told the birthfather yet.
    SO, obviously she told him today. and i did not go well. i don't know all the details of what happened. but he doesn't want this baby to be given to another family and i guess he thinks the baby is better off with him??? did i mention he is 46 and has no job? 
    deb said that if they hear of any changes that she would call. i guess you never know. things could change in the next week or so. (think how much has happened in the LAST week!! :) ) we are disappointed. but we are okay. we know that heavenly father made this situation come to us, we have no doubt in that. and if for sure this situation with this baby boy is over, we know he will send us another baby who will fit in our family just as well as this one would have!
    so like i said we will be contacted if things change. and of course, i will keep all of you posted too!
