August 19, 2008 I Am Devastated

quincy won't wear shoes. she fights me when i am putting them on by curling her toes and kicking her legs. once i get them on, she tries her hardest to either kick them off, or pull them off with her hands.

she gets really upset by them.

i sometimes will give in and take one off for her to play with.


other times i can distract her with something else.
 

her dad is a great distraction in a lot of situations!


but then she remembers there is something shiny on her feet.


have i mentioned that she can now reach her feet to her mouth? her newest trick! she puts one in and rolls to her side.


so now quincy has a whole lot of shoes that she will only wear for a few minutes at a time. this better be a phase. one of those things that all babies do, and then get past. if only she could understand how cute they are, i really believe she would feel differently about shoes.
