if quincy could bedazzle or throw some glitter on everything, she'd do it. anytime she has to choose a color (sippy cup, instrument at her music class, crayon, clothing...) she will choose pink, or purple, or purplish-pink. i definitely encourage the girliness, i think it's so cute. BUT she came this way. she is SUCH a girly girl. and with that comes the drama and emotions too. i am terrified for teenage quincy.
all day long quincy dresses up. as soon as she is out of the shower in the morning she says "i yanna pretty dress!" or sometimes "a dancy skirt!" so i dress her, then let her choose which dress or skirt she wants to wear. (i have had to hide some of her dresses downstairs that i don't want her wearing around the house all day. she found her birthday party and easter dresses downstairs the other day and had a complete meltdown because i wouldn't let her wear them.) next is the part that is so funny to me. she accessorizes. she opens her armoire and says, "i need a headband." picks one and puts it on. her sunglasses are right next to the headbands, so sometimes she needs those too. then the necklaces and bracelets, which she calls necklaces too. and OF COURSE the princess shoes. always. they were so loud on our wood floor i had to make foam soles for them to quiet her steps.
she it obsessed with ballerinas. we watch the dancing parts of the movie Center Stage that we have saved on our DVR and she does her best to follow their moves. she dies over anything princess. yesterday she pretended she was cinderella. she asked me to hold her hand and twirl her. then she said, "oh!!! i gotta go!" kicked off a shoe and ran in the other room. came back in and said, "hi! i'm cinderella!" i am amazed at her imagination and ability to pretend for her age.
we love our little girly girl drama princess!

Sooooooooo cute and funny. Everytime she sees me she tells me about her princess shoes. Maybe a princess party for her birthday?
I can't wait until Quince is a tween. I'm going to buy her a bedazzler. You're welcome.
She is so funny! When she came to stay I laughed so hard when she HAD to put on her gold dancy skirt and then her beads and her "sparkly" shoes. And even though she got her skirt twisted I didn't want to fix it cuz it was so dang cute. When the Wiggles show came on she tried dance exactly like they were dancing. It was so fun! Yes. She is a girly girl and it's so sweet!
she is a doll! consider yourself lucky... I have a niece who is complete opposite and it DRIVE ME CRAZY!!!
