quincy has always been an incredible sleeper. especially when it comes to naps. at her nap time, i could just lay her in her crib and she would go right to sleep or lay there quietly until she was tired enough to go to sleep.
and then she learned how to stand in her crib.
it has been ridiculous for me to put her down for naps ever since. at first it was funny and cute to come around the corner and see her standing or jumping in her crib while hanging into the rails so proud, looking into the living room waiting for someone to walk by. it's not cute anymore.
it doesn't matter how tired she is. she can be exhausted. i put her down, and she stands up. if she is really tired she stands up and then just starts crying, because she is so tired. it is ridiculous. today i put her down about an hour ago. she cried. after about 5 minutes i went in, laid her back down, and walked out. she stood up and cried some more. this same sequence went on 3 more times. and each time i would lay her down she would snuggle in her blanket, close her eyes. then after i walked out it's like she realized, "oh yeah, i can stand up in here." so even though she is so tired, she stands. then cries, i come in...you know the drill by now.
after a little bit, i heard nothing. yes. she fell asleep. i was downstairs and about 15 minutes later i am walking up the stairs and can hear her jumping in her bed!!!
so we started our fun routine again. an hour later, she is asleep. this is a regular occurrence now. PLEASE HELP ME! i am so annoyed by this new phase. i rock quincy when she has her bottle at night before bed, but i don't want to rock her to sleep for all her naps. my perfect nap taking baby is gone. i knew i bragged about it too much!
any advice? maybe i just change her nap schedule to later so she plays until she just can't keep her eyes open. anyway, she is grounded right now. momma is pissed about the happenings in last hour. she better sleep for a while. and yes, she is still sick.

this is aways the reaction she gives when she thinks that someone has finally come to get her out to play. she has no clue that she is being so naughty! :) (big sigh!) well, at least i am not jodee. avery figured out how to climb out of her crib a day or two ago. now that, is naughty!!
p.s. quincy's front teeth are coming in. her left one broke through on the bottom this week. so that has made her more difficult and cranky too. when it rains it pours!
