my mom was so nice to watch quincy while sean and i went away for valentine's weekend to las vegas. we have never left quincy over night before and i missed her, but never i worried. she LOVES her grandma. and i knew quincy would be a good girl for mom. jodee and rob came too and mark and torrey came down and met up with us also. it was so much fun and such a needed vacation for us.
jodee and i got the giggles at the airport waiting for our plane. i knew it would be a great weekend. our flight was completely full, except the seat next to jodee. how did she get "so lucky"? she held the barf bag and rob fanned her while everyone was boarding and choosing their seats. hahaha, typical jodee.

in the car on the way to our hotel. we stayed at the MGM, we are loyal MGMers. love the restaurants, the pools, and the spa there. plus they always have great concerts and events there. (remember the boxing match we went to a year or so ago?)
eating dinner at diego's.
jodee and i had a card that had slot credits on it. when we first sat down to play we thought it was so lame and didn't really get why people spent so much time and money playing slots. BUT, a few big spins and we were high fiving and and squealing when we made a few bucks. we almost doubled our money! it was incredible. jodee bought a fab pair of boots and i bought these lovlies: (the picture doesn't do them justice, i may live the rest of my life in them.)
we ate brunch on saturday at bushon at the venetian. jodee's favorite, a french restaurant. it was divine. we ordered way too much food. so delish! one of my favorite things we got? pomme frites. or as we americans call them french fries.
on valentine's night we all had tickets to see billy joel. the girls were pumped, the boys, not as much. but we were all really surprised at how much we loved the concert. billy was amazing!! he has a really good voice live and put on a great show. we were talking after about how its funny that so many singers with hits now are bad live because of all the technology they can use to alter their talent in recording. not billy!! what a gem. :)
after the concert we ate at craftsteak, which was a-mazing. SO good. it was a really great valentine's day.
i wish i had a better picture...the keyboard player looked like a 90's rob. it was hilarious.
p.s. this is billy joel's wife. katie lee joel. she is a tv food critic and a chef. a beauty, right? she is younger then i am.
and now for your listening pleasure...
