June 1, 2008 Ouch!

i am SO glad to have my husband back! it was really hard for me to have him gone. he helps out with quincy so much and is such a great dad. i think she missed him too. sean got back this afternoon from what our stake calls "zions camp" with the young men. (he just was released form deacons quorum and put right back in with the priests. an upgrade, no scouting! :) ) they were just up at aspen lakes, (about 40 minutes away) our stake owns a big campground there. which is where we go to girls camp also. it was nice and hot this weekend so perfect for their activities like sling-shotting waterballons, canoing, skeet shooting, an obstacle course, and paintballing. i am a sunscreen fanatic. (i have to be or else i will look like a firetruck the next day.) sean gets so dark and rarely burns. i usually try to make anyone around me where sunscreen too. but of course, he took no sunscreen or sunglasses.  the minute i saw him today i said, "whoa. babe, you are so dark." he is almost quincy's color! :) he isn't as red as the picture makes him look. he was putting clothes in the washer and getting in the shower and said, "hey stace, come here." i went in our room and saw 5 GIANT, UGLY bruises on his back and sides from paintballing. they are hideous. big welts that are hard in the middle. i don't know why, but it kind of upset me that he had these. they just look so bad! he assured me that they didn't hurt. i wondered what mothers where upset that their boys were covered in these too. i had to take a picture! and by the way, babe, i love you but this is one of the worst farmers tans i have ever seen. ;)
